Besiktas target Martin Skrtel rules out Manchester United move

Liverpoool defender Martin Skrtel has ruled out a move to Manchester United.

The Slovakian international revealed that while he can imagine himself playing for another team, he would never sign for rivals United.

“I can imagine transfer to anywhere, but United? Never.” Skrtel was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

Skrtel recently confirmed that he will asses his options after rejecting Liverpool’s contract extension.

“The contract, which was presented to me, makes me uneasy, so I did not sign it,” Skrtel told the Slovakian outlet Aktualne.

“There has been some speculation about the interest of other clubs for my person, but they are currently being addressed.”

Beşiktaş were reported to have held talks with Skrtel’s representatives recently according to Lig TV
