RB Leipzig have signed Beşiktaş defender Atınç Nukan for a reported €5 million according to Fanatik.
The Black Eagles released a statement on the stock exchange confirming that talks are ongoing.
The statement read: “Talks between Atınç Nukan and Rasenballsport Leipzig GmbH are ongoing.”
Turkish clubs usually release confirmation of talks on the stock exchange as a formality before the actual transfer.
Beşiktaş were expected to keep Atınç on but due to financial constraints they were unable to turn down the German sides offer for the 21-year-old.
The towering defender impressed former Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic when called upon this season.
Atınç put on an impressive display against Tottenham in the Europa League and received a rating of 7.44 from Whoscored for his performance.
The 21-year-old defender signed a five-year deal with the Black Eagles last season and made his professional debut on 7 May 2010 against Manisaspor.
The Beşiktaş youth product scored once in a total of 17 appearances in all competitions last season.
The young defender has represented the Turkish national side from U16 to U23 level.
