Olcay Sahan: Besiktas have a 60% chance of eliminating Liverpool from the Europa League

“Opare fits our transfer policy, he is a good player, within our budget and plays a position we needed strengthening,” Bilic told Turkish-football.com reporters at his post-match press conference following the 4-1 win over Adana Demirspor in the Turkish Cup.

“I had a meeting with Serdar Kurtuluş and told him I am pleased with his form but that we need more depth and competition for places in all our positions, the team will benefit as a result.”

Opare completed his move transfer from Porto to Beşiktaş yesterday after passing his medical examination.

Beşiktaş signed the Ghanian international on a loan deal with an option to sign at the end of the season.

Opare joined Porto on a free transfer from Standard Liege this summer but has struggled for playing time at the Portuguese giants.

The 24-year-old has 16 international caps for Ghana and still has three-years left on his contract with Porto.

Serdar Kurtuluş has started the last eight Süper Lig games for Beşiktaş but Bilic lacks options if the Turkish international were to get injured or suspended.

Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs when Kurtuluş has been unable to play this season.
