Trabzonspor join the race for Arsenal target Tolgay Arslan

“We are interested in Tolgay, there is no point denying it, he has proven himself in one of the best leagues in the world and it would be great to have him here,” Bilic told Turkish-footbal.com reporters at his press-conference in Antalya.

According to Eurosport TR Arslan will sign a three and a half year deal keeping him at Beşiktaş until July 2018. Arslan will receive €700,000 in wages for the second half of the 2014-15 season.

The 24-year-old can enter direct talks with other clubs as his contract is set to run out at the end of the season.

However, Beşiktaş have opted to pay a small transfer fee to secure his signature in January.

Arsenal have also been keeping close tabs on Arslan according to the Daily Mail.

The Germany and Turkey U20 international moved to Hamburg from Dortmund in 2009 on a free transfer.

Arslan has two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for HSV this season.

The 24-year-old can represent either Turkey or Germany at international level but has vowed to play for the Crescent-Stars.
