Beşktaş boss Slaven Bilic praised his players following their 1-0 win against Tottenham in the Europa League Group C.

“It’s a great win for us, a brilliant result,” Bilic said.

“We were brave hearts tonight.

“I don’t have to tell you how many players we were missing tonight. They were all players we use who were out.

“The players we missed, any club in the world would miss them, so our win tonight was even bigger.

“The atmosphere was great, fans were great, really playing and fighting. We really wanted to beat them.”

Beşiktaş were without several first team players including Atiba Hutchinson, Veli Kavlak, Mustafa Pektemek, Oğuzhan Özyakup and star striker Demba Ba.

Ba has scored 16 goals in 18 appearances this season but his replacement Cenk Tosun proved himself with his fifth goal in his last four games.

Tosun scored to clinch first place for Beşiktaş in Group C.

Beşiktaş have only lost once in four games against Premier League opposition this season – draw and a loss against Arsenal, followed by a draw and a win against Spurs.
