Beşiktaş had to come from behind and later had their lead cancelled out on 90 minutes but still found a way to win the game.

“Not too many teams can come back after conceding a goal in the 90th minute of the game. But we did it because we believed in ourselves,” he added.

“Since it is a long race, I have to play a rotation of 18 players. Today, I am proud of all of them.”

Beşiktaş have now won nine out of their last 10 games and moved into first place on 47 points after 20 games.

The Black Eagles face a tough test against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32 next at Anfield on Thursday 19 February 2015.

Beşiktaş then face a tricky away trip to Eskişehirspor on the weekend followed by the return leg against Liverpool.
