Bosnia international Emir Spahic is on the verge of joining Beşiktaş as a free agent according to Fanatik.

Black Eagles head coach Slaven Bilic recently revealed that he would love to sign Spahic.

Bayer Leverkusen terminated Spahic’s contract following his fight with security personnel after the German Cup defeat against Bayern Munich.

Spahic was filmed fighting with security guards after they reportedly refused to give his friends access to the dressing room area.

Bayer managing director, Michael Schade was quoted on the Guardian as saying: “The latest revelations from the case last Wednesday leave us no other choice. After video evidence emerged that shocked and upset all of us, we could not wait for the outcome of the legal investigation or a possible criminal case, but had to think about the club’s immediate response.

“We sat down with Emir and found an amicable solution. Emir regrets his actions and is very sorry. We wish him all the best for his future path.”
