Bundesliga outfit have ‘great interest’ for £13m wonder kid Cengiz Under targeted by Man United & Tottenham
Bundesliga outfit Freiburg have become the latest club to join the race for Basaksehir wonder kid Cengiz Under.
German outlet Badische Zeitung report that Freiburg have a ‘great interest’ in the 19-year-old forward.
Freiburg have enjoyed success with 20-year-old Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu this season.
The centre-back made a seamless transition from Turkish second-tier football to first-team Bundesliga action.
Soyuncu and Under herald from the highly acclaimed Altinordu academy and both rose through the youth ranks.
Under was one of the transfers of the season in the Super Lig, helping Istanbul minnows Basaksehir finished the league as runners-up and reach the Turkish Cup final.

Freiburg sporting director Klemens Gartenbach remained coy when asked about interest in Under: “Of course, I know the player, but I do not want to say more on the matter right now.”
The 19-year-old wrapped up the season scoring nine times and providing seven assists – the best performing under-21 player in the league.
The Turkish international has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Tottenham.
In fact Spurs were reported to have agreed a deal with the youngster nicknamed the Turkish Dybala.
Under’s agent Omer Koray Uzun denied the rumour but confirmed Spurs interest.
“There is no agreement right now with any club, there are several clubs from England like Tottenham, Germany and France monitoring him [Under] but no deal on the table,” Uzun was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
The Istanbul based side currently value Under as being worth £13 million and he does have another four-years remaining on his contract.
United meanwhile, recently sent Eastern European region scout Krsto Kilibarda to keep tabs on Under against Genclerbirligi.
