Burak Yilmaz becomes second player to score hat-trick in Turkish Cup final

Galatasaray striker Burak Yılmaz became the second player in Süper Lig history to score a hat-trick in the Turkish Cup final.

Hakan Şükür is the only other player to have scored three times in a single final. The Galatasaray legend scored a hat-trick against Fenerbahçe in the 5-1 win back in 2005 to lift the Turkish Cup.

Yılmaz has now scored 10 career goals against Bursaspor and his third against the Green Crocodiles in the final was the Lions 100th goal of the season in all competitions.

The Turkish international striker had only scored a single goal in the cup going into the final but ended his tally in the competition on four.

The experienced striker scored a total of 22 goals in all competitions for Galatasaray this season. Yılmaz was the top scorer for his side this season in the league and in all competitions.

Yılmaz has now won four Turkish Cup trophies, two Süper Lig titles and the Turkish Super Cup three times.
