Galatasaray striker Burak Yılmaz scored his 11th Süper Lig goal of the season in the 2-0 win over Beşiktaş to join Gekas as the leagues top scorer.

The Turkish international doubled the Lions lead in the fifth minute of additional time to secure all three points in the Istanbul derby.

 

The Turkish international joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor for €5 million in 2012.

Yılmaz finished his first season at Galatasaray as the leagues leading goalscorer for the second year in a row with 24 goals in 30 appearances.

The 29-year-old striker has scored 11 times in the Süper Lig and twice in the Champions League this season, the Turkish international has also provided one assist.

Galatasaray go into the winter break in second place on 35 points, just one point behind league leaders Fenerbahçe.
