Bursaspor appoint Ertugrul Saglam on 3 year deal

Ertuğrul Sağlam has been appointed the manager of Bursaspor on a three-year deal the club revealed.

Sağlam replaced Şenol Güneş who parted ways with Bursaspor following the 3-2 defeat against Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup final last week.

The 45-year-old manager was manager of Eskişehirspor last season but resigned from his position at the turn of the new year.

Bursaspor want to keep hold of Man Utd target Ozan Tufan despite ‘astronomic’ offers

Sağlam was appointed as manager of Eskişehirspor in the summer summer but only remained in charge for a few months after a poor run of results.

Bursaspor became the second Turkish team outside of Istanbul to win the Turkish Süper Lig when they lifted the title in 2010-11 under the guidance of Sağlam.

The experienced coach has also managed Turkish giants Beşiktaş in the past and one of three managers to have won the Süper Lig as both a player and a manager.

Former Bursaspor manager Güneş is expected to replace Slaven Bilic as head of Beşiktaş.
