Bursaspor banned from European competition

Bursaspor have been banned from European competitions for one year and have also been fined €100,000 by UEFA.
The Green Crocodiles have received the ban due to overdue payables.
The one-season European competition ban comes into affect if Bursaspor qualifies for the Europa League of Champions League within the next four seasons.
A statement on UEFA’s official website reads:
Bursaspor (TUR): The suspended exclusion imposed by the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) in 2012 comes into effect and Bursaspor is therefore excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next four seasons (i.e. 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19).
The CFCB adjudicatory chamber has now imposed on Bursaspor a further exclusion (i.e. for a different season to the season in which the above-mentioned immediate exclusion applies) from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next four seasons (i.e. 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19). This new exclusion applies unless the club is able to prove by 31 January 2015 that the amounts that were identified as overdue payables on 30 September 2014 have been paid.
The club has also been fined €100,000, half of which is suspended and will only fall due if the club is not able to prove by the above-mentioned deadline that it has paid the above amount of overdue payables.
