Bursaspor are aiming to complete the transfer of Josue, who is currently on loan at the club from FC Porto, in May according to club president Recep Bölükbaşı.
Josue has been one of the stars of Bursaspor’s season but his loan deal is up at the end of the season.
Bölükbaşı revealed that he has been in talks with the players agent but a fee has yet to be agreed over making his stay permanent.
“We have had talks with Josue’s agent, they wanted €5 million but we have got the fee down to €2.5 million, we are still in talks and could agree to another loan deal but let us see,” Bölükbaşı told DHA.
The Portuguese midfielder rose through the Porto youth ranks before joining Paços Ferreira in 2011 and then returning to the Portuguese giants in 2013 on a four-year deal.
The 24-year-old has seven goals and four assists in all competitions this season.
Bursaspor are currently joint fourth in the Super Lig on 47 points.
The Green Crocodiles have scored the highest number of goals in the Süper Lig this season (56).
Bursaspor face Kasımpaşa next in the league, Josue is expected to play.
