Bursaspor were tougher than expected says Emenike [divider]
Fenerbahçe striker Emmanuel Emenike admitted that the game against Bursaspor was tougher than he had expected.
The Yellow Canaries left Bursa with a point following the 1-1 draw against Bursaspor.
“To be honest it was a hard earned point, tougher than expected,” Emenike said.
“We could have even won the game but it was a really tough match and I thank God that we were able to leave here with a point.
“It was not my best game, I am not going to put it down to being played out wide or wherever, I play as the centre forward sometime and on the wing sometimes.
“I try to do everything I can for the team.”
The Nigerian international has two goals and one assist for the Yellow Canaries this season.
The draw took Fenerbahçe into joint first place with Beşiktaş on 20 points. Bursaspor meanwhile remained in fifth position on 15 points.
