‘Cantastic!’ – Liverpool fans react to Emre Can winning Goal of the Season award while Arsenal fans rage on social media
Liverpool star Emre Can had already picked up a few goal of the season awards before winning another one on Sunday.
Match of the Day chose Can’s spectacular overhead kick against Watford as being the best goal this season.
Alan Shearer and Ian Wright were among the panel that helped decide the overall winner.
Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud and West Ham striker Andy Carroll were also nominated for the award.

There was a bit of banter between Arsenal and Liverpool fans following the announcement.
Gunners fans thought Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick should have won the award, Liverpool supporters generally thought otherwise.
The fact that Wright picked Can for goal of the season over Giroud did not go down well either with Arsenal fans.
