Cardozo scored his 12th Süper Lig goal in the Black Sea Storms 2-1 win over Erciyesspor.

The win took Trabzonspor into 6th place on 29 points.

The Paraguayan international joined Trabzonspor from Benfica on a €5 million move this summer on a three-year deal.

The powerful striker moved to Benfica from Newell’s Old Boys back in 2007 for a fee of €9.1 million.

Cardozo scored 172 goals in 293 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

The 31-year-old won the Portuguese Cup, five Portuguese League Cups and two league titles during his time at the Estadio da Luz.

The powerful striker has scored 13 goals in 25 appearances for the Black Sea Storm this season.

Trabzonspor and the Yellow Canaries have a rivalry dating back to the 2010-11 season.

The Black Sea Storm believe they should be awarded the league title due to Fenerbahçe’s alleged involvement in the Turkish match fixing scandal.
