Celtic face competition from Germany for Turkish international they have been in talks with for over 6 months

Celtic could have a fight on their hands to sign Fenerbahce full-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim after it emerged he has received interest from Germany.

Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that Stuttgart and Hertha Berlin are eyeing a move for Kaldirim.

Yahoo Sport revealed in January that Celtic have been keeping close tabs on Kaldirim since last summer and that the Hoops made an offer in January.

Per the source, West Ham also made a move for Kaldirim.

Kaldirim will be available as a free agent this summer unless Fenerbahce striker a late contract deal with the Turkish international.

The full-back was born in Germany and as a result is able to play in Europe without a work permit – as a EU national.

Kaldirim has three assists in 34 appearances for the Istanbul giants this season.

The 27-year-old has a total of three goals and 15 assists for the Istanbul giants in 140 appearances since joining the club.
