Celtic legend Chris Sutton slams Manchester City star on social media for lack of ambition

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has taken to social media to slam Man City defender Jason Denayer for his move to Galatasaray.

The Belgium international arrived in Istanbul in the early hours of the morning ahead of his proposed move to the Lions.

Denayer turned down the opportunity to join Celtic in favour of a move to Galatasaray.

Chris Sutton took to social media after learning about Denayer’s decision and slammed him for his lack of ambition.

However, Denayer has good memories of his time in Istanbul during the 2015-16 season. The Belgium international established himself as a fan favourite and was greeted by thousands of rapturous fans at the Istanbul airport despite it being 2am.

Denayer spent last season on loan at Sunderland where he made 24 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats.

The 22-year-old will be available for selection when Galatasaray take on Antalyaspor on September 10.
