Emre Can has started in defence for the eighth straight time for Liverpool tonight. The Reds suffered a 1-0 defeat against their rivals Chelsea in the second leg of the Carlin Cup semi final. Liverpool have been eliminated from the competition and Chelsea will play the final against Tottenham or Sheffield United.
