Chelsea striker Didier Drogba made a surprise visit to the Galatasaray Metin Oktay training grounds in Florya to give his former teammates a moral boost following their 2-2 draw against Başakşehir.

Drogba underlined that he beleives Galatasaray will win the league title and that the players must believe in themselves.

“This club has big goals, I believe we will become champions, everybody must believe in themselves,” Drogba told Galatasaray Tv.

The 37-year-old also revealed that he will join in the championship celebrations if Galatasaray win the league title.

“I want to be here at the end of the season celebrating the championship,” he added.

Galatasaray are currently in second place after dropping two points behind league leaders Beşiktaş on the weekend.

The Black Eagles moved into first place on 54 points following their 5-1 win against Ercyiesspor.

The Ivory Coast international spent two seasons at Galatasaray and scored 20 goals in 53 games.

The 37-year-old won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and reached the quarter-final of the Champions League while at the Lions.
