Chelsea and Manchester United have been dealt a blow as Barcelona move into pole position to sign Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo has claimed that the 28-year-old winger is Barcelona bound. The news comes amid reports that Turan was close to completing a move to Chelsea.
The paper states that Turan is in advanced talks with Barcelona and that the deal could be completed by the end of this week.
Turan has made it clear that he wants to leave Atletico this summer and confirmed that his agent is in talks with number of clubs.
The 28-year-old has also won the Europa League, European Super Cup and the Spanish Cup with the Rojiblancos. The bearded winger was also part of the Atleti side that reached the 2013-14 Champions League final.
The Atleti star still has two-years left on his current deal and a release clause worth €41 million.
