Chelsea pursuing deal for Man City wonder kid target, stopper wants Premier League move

Chelsea have joined the race for Altinordu wonder kid Berke Ozer according to reports in Turkey.

Ajansspor claim that the Blues are interested in signing the 17-year-old goalkeeper.

Per the source, the Blues have sent officials to Turkey to discuss the transfer of the Turkish international.

Despite his age Ozer is a first team player for Altinordu and featured in the Under 17 World Cup in India last month.

Chelsea scouts have been keeping close tabs on Ozer and will attend the Gazisehir Gaziantep clash on December 1.

Ozer is likely to feature against Gazisehir.

The young keeper has made four appearances in all competitions this season.

The reigning Premier League champions could face competition from Manchester City.

Turkish-Football reported in 2016 that City have been keeping scouts on the rising star nicknamed the Turkish Donarruma.

Altinordu club president Mehmet Ozkan recently confirmed City making an offer over the summer and revealed they will support Berke in his pursuit of Premier League football.

“We want him to play in Europe, if Berke has a great season the odds of him moving to the Premier League are high,” Ozkan said in Emre Sarigul’s latest article for the Guardian.

“Manchester City already made him an offer. We will see what the future holds.”

The keeper was recently named in the Guardian Next Generation series, 60 best young talents in world football.
