Chelsea have rejected an offer from Celta Vigo for Kenneth Omeruo according to Nigerian newspaper Today.

The report claims that the La Liga outfit made a last ditch move for the Nigerian international but that the Blues turned down the deal due to having already reached an agreement to loan the defender out to Besiktas.

Today also revealed that Chelsea wanted €5 million from Kasimpasa who wanted to sign the 22-year-old defender after a successful loan stint at the club last season.

The Istanbul minnows were unable to match the Blues asking price and subsequently pulled out of the deal.

Besiktas have completed the transfer of Omeruo on a one year loan a source close to the Istanbul giants told Turkish-football.com.

Omeruo has already settled into life in Istanbul having enjoyed a season at Kasimpasa. The 22-year-old will only have to move a short distance up the Sea of Marmara to the Bosphorus from the Istanbul minnows to Besiktas.
