Chelsea target Wesley Sneijder available for €7.5m

Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder is available for for €7.5 million according to Fotospor.

The Netherlands international star reportedly has a €7.5 million release clause in his new contract which he signed this season.

Sneijder has been closely linked with a move to Chelsea recently and the Blues are rumoured to be keeping close tabs on the experienced playmaker.

Fanatik report that the Blues are plotting a move for Sneijder and the Dutch star is no stranger to Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

“He is not only good coach, he’s also a good person. People love it when he fails, But he deserves respect for what has done, especially in your country,” Sneijder told the Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo.

Sneijder did of course play under the stewardship of Mourinho while at Inter Milan where the duo lifted the UEFA Champions League and Serie A under the Portuguese manager.

The 31-year-old does however, still have three years remaining on his contract and his family have settled in to life in Istanbul.

The Netherlands international man has setup four assists and scored three goals in 15 games in all competitions for the Lions this season.
