Chelsea team news: Star defender ruled out, Roma to field full strength side in anticipation of Blues slip up

Chelsea have already booked a place in the Champions League Last 16 but first place is still up for grabs on Match Day 6.

The Blues take on Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge knowing a win would guarantee first place in Group C.

Atleti meanwhile must win on Tuesday to stand any chance of progressing to the next round.

A victory alone would not be enough as they would also need Roma to drop points in their clash against Qarabag.

The Blues will be without defender David Luiz, Charly Musonda is out with a knee problem.

Striker Michy Batshuayi is also a doubt as is Kenedy.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could have one eye on preparations for Saturday’s trip to West Ham.

Gary Cahill and Bakayoko are likely to start after being rested at the weekend.

Roma meanwhile are without Bruno Peres who sits this out out after picking up a red card in the defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Diego Perrotti and Radja Nainggolan were rested at the weekend against SPAL and could be drafted in.

Turkish international Cengiz Under started on the weekend and will be available against the Azerbaijan side.

Qarabag are without Rasad Sadiqov and Pedro Henrique are suspended for the game.

The visitors have already taken points off Atleti in the group but Roma head into the game having won their last five home games.
