Chelsea transfer news: Kenneth Omeruo confirms offers on table from Turkey, wants Premier League stay

Chrelsea centre-back Kenneth Omeruo has confirmed that he has received offers from the Turkish Super League.

According to Allnigeriasoccer, Omeruo has recently been in talks with Göztepe, Sivasspor and Malatyaspor.

However, Omeruo has stated that he wants to stay in England and prove himself in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old admitted that he will consider other options if an offer from the EPL does not materialise.

“Yes, I do have offers for Turkey but I am focused at staying in England should the right opportunity present itself,” Omeruo told The Nation newspaper.

“If not, I will consider alternative options.

“The EPL is a great league. Very challenging and one that I know I can handle when given the chance.”

Despite joining Chelsea back in 2012, the Nigeria international defender has actually never played for the Blues. Omeruo has had four loan stints at Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor since joining the London-based club.

Omeruo scored one goals in 26 appearances for Alanyaspor last season. The versatile defender helped Alanyaspor achieve their main goal of league safety.
