Besiktas are confident they can sign Chelsea striker Loic Remy on loan by the end of the week according to Turkish sports newspaper AMK.

Per the source, Besiktas president Fikret Orman remains in talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Remy who has fallen out of favour and down the pecking order at the club.

The Express meanwhile report that Chelsea could offer Remy in additional to £65 million for Everton star Romelu Lukaku.

A source close to Turkish-football.com revealed that Remy is on the Black Eagles shortlist along with four other strikers including Liverpool forward Christian Benteke and last seasons loan star Mario Gomez.

Should Remy not be sold to Everton as part of the deal he will be expected to leave the club as head coach Antonio Conte has no plans for him next season.

Besiktas are still in the hunt for a new striker after Gomez revealed he will not be returning to the club.

The star striker’s boots will be difficult to fill considering he finished last season as top scorer, won the league and even got recalled to the Germany national side for Euro 2016 – where he scored twice.

Remy has 31 international caps for France, scoring seven times since his debut in 2009 under the stewardship of Raymond Domenech against Nigeria.
