Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea take on Manchester City on Saturday 30 September at Stamford Bridge.

City boss Pep Guardiola received a double injury blow ahead of the clash.

Benjamin Mendy sustained a long term injury last week.

To make matters worse Sergio Aguero is expected to be sidelined after being injured in a car crash in Amsterdam according to the BBC.

The Argentinian has scored seven goals in eight matches for the Citizens this season, helping his side reach the top of the Premier League and win their first two Champions League group game.

Guardiola will welcome back Ilkay Gundogan who recovered from an ankle injury he picked up last week against West Brom.

Gundogan played the last 10 minutes in the 2-0 victory over Shakhtar in the Champions League mid-week.

The midfielder of Turkish origin is expected to be fit for the Chelsea clash.

Chelsea did the double over Guardiola’s side last season and are currently third in the league on 13 points after six games.
