Chelsea winger linked with move to Istanbul giants

Chelsea’s out-of-favour winger Christian Atsu has been linked with a move to the Istanbul rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Atsu is set to leave Chelsea this summer after being omitted from  the Blue’s pre-season tour of the United States.

The report goes onto say that Olympiakos, Malaga and Celta Vigo are also interested in the Ghana international.

The 23-year-old spent the first half of the season at the newly promoted Bournemouth but return to Chelsea after failing to break into the first team. Atsu made just two league cup appearances for Bournemouth this season. the Ghana international made 13 appearances on loan at Everton last season.

Fenerbahce ended last season as runners up in the Turkish Super League while Galatasaray finished in sixth place.

The Lion’s will be able to fully focus on the league campaign next season as they have been issued a one-year European competition from from UEFA for failing to meet FFP regulations.
