Club vice-president travels to England for talks with Tottenham over £30m midfielder

Trabzonspor vice-president Gencaga Meric has travelled to England for talks with Tottenham over Moussa Sissoko.

Turkish outlet Fotomac claim that Spurs are considering loaning Sissoko out this season.

Per the source, the France international is a transfer priority for Trabzonspor.

Talks are reported to be ongoing and the two sides are edging closer to reaching an agreement.

The Chronicle meanwhile report that Sissoko could play against his former side Newcastle United in Spurs’ Premier League opener on the weekend.

The report does however, claim that Sissoko is desperate to secure a summer exit.

Spurs are also reported to be keen on the 27-year-old leaving.

The North London outfit paid £30 million for Sissoko on transfer-deadline day in order to sign him.

The only concrete offer Spurs have for the France international is from Trabzonspor.

The Chronicle claim that Tottenham want to recoup at least two-thirds of the £30 million they invested in him.

Trabzonspor want Sissoko as a marquee signing to celebrate their 50th year anniversary this season.

The Black Sea based outfit would be able to offer the powerful midfielder regular first-team football next season.
