Consistency is the key to more Arsenal silverware says Mesut Ozil

Mesut Özil has stated that he wants to build upon Arsenal’s FA Cup and Charity shield win this season.

The 27-year-old went onto state that consistency will be the key to the Gunners winning more silverware.

“We’ve twice won the FA Cup, and won the Charity Shield this summer too,” Ozil told Sport 1.

“We definitely want to improve that. Should we continue like that, and become just a tiny bit more consistent, it can work out. But the others don’t sleep,”

Özil played a staring role in Arsenal’s win over Dinamo Zagreb during the week. The former Real Madrid star received a rating of 8.9 from WhoScored for his performance on the night.

The Gunners go into the groups final game needing a big win over Olympiakos. Arsenal need to beat the Greek Super League side by two goals if they are to qualify to the Last 16.
