Could Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti be joining Mesut Ozil at Arsenal next season?
Spanish football expert Pete Jenson has stated that the Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is interested in the Arsenal job.
Ancelotti’s job at Real Madrid is under threat after Barcelona opened up a four-point gap at the top of La Liga following the El Clasico derby.
Speaking in a Q&A for the Daily Mail, Jenson said that the former Chelsea boss wants to return to the Premier League and that the Emirates is his ideal destination.
“Arsenal would give him all the job security he has missed out on at first Chelsea and now Madrid,” Jenson stated.
Ancelotti sold Mesut Özil when he was appointed as manager of Real however, the Italian manager later regretted letting the World Cup winner leave.
“I think we made a mistake when we gave him the possibility to leave the club,” Ancelotti stated.
Ancelotti has managed Parma, Juventus, AC Milan, PSG and Real Madrid.
The Italian manager has experience coaching in the Premier League and was formerly the head coach at Chelsea. The 55-year-old won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Charity Shied while in charge of the Blues.
