“Arda Turan is a great player and he has developed even more at Atletico Madrid, he is a far better player now and keeps developing,” Ronaldo told Milliyet.
“Arda is my neighbour, we live in the same area.”
The Portuguese international has won the Ballon d’Or world footballer of the year award for the second year in a row.
Ronaldo has made 17 assists and scored 33 goals in 28 appearances so far this season for Real Madrid.
Turan became the first Turkish player to win a La Liga title when Atletico Madrid lifted the title last season.
The 27-year-old was also part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final.
Turan has won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, Copa Del Rey and La Liga title since joining the Rojiblancos in 2011.
