Crystal Palace transfer news: £10m goal machine proposed transfer to Palace hits stumbling block, negotiations ongoing

Turkey international Cenk Tosun’s proposed move to Crystal Palace has hit a stumbling block.

Turkish-Football reported last night that Palace tabled a £10 million offer for Besiktas’ prolific goal scorer.

However, the move will now depend on whether the two clubs can agree upon a payment structure.

A source from within Besiktas has revealed to Turkish-Football that Palace have offered £10 million however, want to pay the fee over a two-year period.

Besiktas meanwhile want the full fee paid within a six-month period. Negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing.

Palace are keen to bolster their attacking options as they want to provide cover and competition for Christian Benteke. The club decided to release striker Fraizer Campbell earlier in the summer.

Tosun netted 20 Turkish Super League goals last season and already has scored two this season. The Turkey international has won back-to-back titles since his move to Besiktas from Gaziantepspor.
