Czech Republic international Michal Kadlec wants to stay at Fenerbahce

Czech Republic international Michal Kadlec has revealed that he wants to stay at Fenerbahçe next season.

Kadlec also underlined that the armed attack on the Fenerbahçe team bus has not changed his opinion on the matter.

“I never thought this would happen to us but now that everything has settled I have realised this could happen anywhere, I mean there are even shootouts in the US,” Kadlec told Turkish newspaper Bügün.

Kadlec hads been pushed down the pecking order following the return of Egemen Korkmaz and Bruno Alves but has still featured regularly for the Yellow Canaries this season.

Despite this the experienced defender has manager to play regularly in the Fenerbahçe side when required.

The 30-year-old defender joined the Yellow Canaries on a £4 million transfer from Bayer Leverkusen last season.

Kadlec has made a total of four goals and two assists in 32 appearances for Fenerbahçe.

The experienced defender has two goals and one assist in 18 appearances for the Canaries and his contract runs until June 2016.
