Demba Ba – ‘We were naive’ [divider]
Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba believes that his side were naive against Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby.
The Black Eagles lost the game 2-0 at the Atatürk Olympic stadium.
“We were naive,” Ba said.
“You have to be smarter in these kind of games, we did not play an intelligent game.
“This was a derby game and there is a way to play derby matches.
“You have to do what is necessary in these types of games and cannot afford to let mind games get the better of you.
“Had we remained 11 against 11 things could have been different so we only have ourselves to blame.”
Ba started against Galatasaray but failed to get on the scoresheet.
The Senegalese international has 16 goals in 21 appearances for the Black Eagles this season.
