Fenerbahce’s Diego Ribas has spoken about his intention to return to the Brazilian national team.

The former Juventus play-maker spoke with Fenerbahce’s official magazine

“Dunga’s Brazil is one which works hards and controls the game,” Diego said.

“I also want to be part of the national team. In order for me to return to the Brazilian national team, I need to play very well for Fenerbahce.

Diego also spoke about playing football in the Turkish Super League.

“The pitch conditions in games we have played away from home has been poor.

“This type of playing surface makes it harder to play. It can affect both individual and team performances.

“The quality of football is also affected and in turn this means less people come to watch the games.”

The 29-year-old was part of the Atletico Madrid side which won the Spanish League and reached the UEFA Champions League final last season.

Diego is yet to register an assist or goal for Fenerbahce after eight first team appearances.
