Manchester United full-back Daley Blind has been advised to leave Old Trafford and join Fenerbahce according to Netherlands national team boss Dick Advocaat.

Fotomac claim that Fenerbahce contacted Advocaat regarding Blind.

Per the source, Advocaat gave the full-back a positive reference and told his former club that he would advise Blind to make the move.

Blind has struggled for playing time at United this season but he is a first-choice player for Advocaat.

The left-back has started in six of the seven international games Advocaat has managed since taking charge.

The report claims that United boss Jose Mourinho wants rid of Blind who has under 12 months remaining on his contract.

Fenerbahce will be able to enter direct talks with the 27-year-old over the winter transfer window.

Blind will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season if he does not renew his contract.
