€120m Liverpool transfer could disrupt Turkey star’s new MST partnership

PSG are closing in on a world record €222 million move for Barcelona star Neymar.

The Brazilian left Barcelona’s training ground just 43 minutes after arriving on Wednesday.

With Neymar gone, the MSN – Messi, Suarez, Neymar – could end up switching to the MST, with Turan filling in for the Brazil international.

The Turkey star filled in for Neymar when he was injured and suspended last season.

In fact Turan put on his best performances when playing out wide in Neymar’s position.

The experienced attacking midfielder scored eight of his 13 goals playing on the left wing last season while also providing four of his seven assists playing in the same role.

The MST is still a pipe dream for Turan as Barcelona will try to find a replacement for their PSG bound star.

Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho is being touted as a potential replacement.

The Daily Mail report that Barcelona are prepared to pay €120 million for the attacking midfielder.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is not prepared to sell his star man this summer.

Speaking after the 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup, he said: “I can understand that Coutinho is so highly rated, but they can save their energy.

“Where is the interpretation if you say he (Coutinho) is not available to be sold?

“The word “not” means there is nothing to interpret. It is nothing new from our point of view.”

Turan has been closely linked with a Barcelona exit this summer but with Neymar leaving he may be kept on.

The La Liga giants will lack options in attacking and wide positions if they also get rid of the 30-year-old.
