€12m West Ham striker in talks with Turkish Super League club

Trabzonspor are in talks with West Ham United over the Ecuador international Enner Valencia.

The Turkish Super Lig broadcaster LigTv have reported that the Black Sea based club have tabled a loan bid for the striker.

Valencia joined West Ham from the Mexican club Pachuca for €12 million in July 2014.

The 25-year-old predominantly played as a winger while at Mexican outfit Pachuca however, he starred as a striker for Ecuador during the 2014 World Cup. Valencia earned a move to the Premier League off the back of his performances with the national team.

Valencia scored five goals in 37 games in his opening season but has fallen down the pecking order sine the appointment of Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian manager has deemed Bilic as surplus to requirements and is searching for new strikers this summer.

Valencia has three assists and six goals in 25 appearances for West Ham this season.
