€40m Chelsea star Batshuayi turns down lucrative offer from Euro giants in bid to remain with Blues

Chelsea star striker Michy Batshuayi has expressed a desire to remain at Stamford Bridge, despite a considerable lack of playing time last season.

The Belgium international made the move to Chelsea on a big money €40 million (BBC) move from Marseille.

However, Batshuayi failed to secure a place in the starting XI and only played 239 Premier League minutes.

Turkish outlet Fanatik has stated Fenerbahce tabled a €4 million per season offer for Batshuayi.

Per the source, the 23-year-old turned down the deal and is not keen on a move to the Turkish Super League.

Batshuayi has currently moved up the pecking order at Chelsea following the dispute between Diego Costa and manager Antonio Conte.

Chelsea are however expected to sign a new striker before the end of the transfer window.

Batshuayi made just one Premier League start last season and 19 appearances off the bench.

Chelsea take on Arsenal in Beijing on July 22 as part of their pre-season tour of China.
