Emmanuel Eboue keen on Arsenal return after Galatasaray adventure

Arsene Wenger

Emmanuel Eboue has stated that he would relish a return to Arsenal after being released by Galatasaray last summer.

“I came back for training and was told I would not be playing,” Eboue told the Sun (via Daily Mail)

“The president told the manager at the time not to pick me. The way I was treated was very unfair.

“We are looking for options but I’d love to come back to Arsenal.”

Eboue spent six seasons at Arsenal between 2005 and 2011, and was a mainstay at the club in his favoured right-back position.

The Ivory Coast international made 214 appearances for the north London club before joining Galatasaray.

Eboue provided 12 assists and scored five goals in 101 appearances for Galatasaray. The 32-year-old was a first-team regular until the arrival of Cesare Prandelli.

The former Arsenal man spent last season playing for Galatasaray’s u21 side before being released.
