Emre Can played a staring role in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League yesterday evening.
The 22-year-old was deployed in a defensive role in Liverpool’s midfield trio alongside Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
Can received a rating of 8.4 from WhoScored with the Germany international making seven tackles and four interceptions in midfield. Can also happened to make more successful dribbles going forwards than any other player (2).
The Reds got off to a brilliant start when James Milner setup Adam Lallana with the opener on 34 minutes. Milner doubled the home sides lead just five minutes later to give Liverpool a two goal cushion at half-time.
Firminho – who assisted Milner’s goal – wrapped up all three points on 57 minutes and as luck would have it Milner provided the assist.
