Emre Can features in Liverpool's 3-0 win over TNS

Emre Can featured in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over the Welsh side TNS in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the club’s training ground yesterday.

The Red’s summer signing Firmino was the star of the show netting a hat-trick. The game was played to aid the likes of Emre Can and Firmino who were lacking match fitness.

Can arrived late to Liverpool’s pre-season camp this summer after taking part in the U21 European Championship’s with Germany.

The 21-year-old played 27 minutes during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Stoke City. Can came on as a substitute in the second half and was played in his favoured midfield position. The 21-year-old played the majority of last season at centre back and at right back.

Can made one key tackle and an interception after coming off the bench. The Germany u21 international also maintained a passing accuracy of 91%.

Philippe Coutinho scored the games only goal with a stunning strike from outside the area.

Liverpool take on Bournemouth this weekend at Anfield.
