Emre Can has heaped praise on Liverpool fans following his side’s 3-0 win over Villarreal.
The 22-year-old has stated that the Liverpool fans present at Anfield were ‘incredible.’
“We are very happy. We played very well as a team,” Can told the Liverpool Echo.
“It was a wonderful night at Anfield. Our fans were incredible.
“The fans helped us so much and made it more difficult for Villarreal.”
The 22-year-old was one of the star’s of the show yesterday evening and played a major role in his sides opening goal.
Can was a surprise inclusion in Klopp’s starting line-up following an injury he sustained during the Red’s win over Dortmund. The Germany international sustained an ankle injury during Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund and was initially ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old has three assists and two goals in 47 appearances for Liverpool this season.
