Emre Can has underlined that he loves Liverpool fans and that he tries his hardest in games to please them.
“I try to give everything in every game and give 100 per cent. That’s what the fans see and it’s a big honour for me that they love me, and I love them – they’re great fans,” Can told the official Liverpool website.
Can recently stated that he wants to repay the fans for the song they crafted him. The midfielder-come-defender asked the fans to put together a song for him in February.
The 21-year-old was given to change to hear the Reds fans chants during an interview with the club and admitted he was honoured.
“Things like that make me feel incredibly proud. It’s difficult to put into words how it feels to have the fans behind you,” Can told the official Liverpool website.
The chant is set to the tune of Black Lace’s 1989 party classic ‘I Am the Music Man’.
The Liverpool youngster has one goal and one assist in 40 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this season.
