Emre Can played a staring role in Liverpool’s 6-1 victory over Southampton in the League Cup.

Daniel Sturridge found the back of the net twice in the first half and Derek Origi scored a hat-trick. Jordon Ibe scored Liverpool’s remaining goal.

The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes for the Red’s and provided the assist for Liverpool’s second goal with an excellent assist.

However, Can picked up a yellow card in the second half meaning he will be suspended for this weekends Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
