Emre Can was rested for Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Bournemouth in the League cup yesterday evening.

Can has also been nicknamed the tank and even a ‘Rolls Royce’ by former manager Brendan Rodgers for his physical style of play. The Germany international got to start in his preferred central midfield role against Kazan.

Can featured in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Southampton in Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield debut last weekend in the Premier League.
Liverpool took the lead in the 77th minute of the game via the summer signing Cristian Benteke. However, Klopp’s side were only able to hold on to the lead for nine minutes. Southampton found the equaliser in the 86th minute when the in-form Mane found the back of the net.
