Emre Can has praised the quality of food at the Melwood training grounds in Liverpool.

The 21-year-old’s move from Germany to England has separated him from his family and he was quick to use the recent gap between the Blackburn and Swansea games to go back home.

“I went back to stay with my family in Germany because I haven’t seen them for a long time. So I just stayed back home and recovered,” Emre Can told the Liverpool Echo.

“My best friend is living in Liverpool with me. In the beginning the language was the most difficult thing about England. I had no problem with the food, it’s very, very good at Melwood.”
