Emre Can was present at Goodison Park tonight to watch his friend and teammate Samed Yesil who started up-front.

Yesil started his first game since recovering from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.
The former Bayer Leverkusen player played 66 minutes in his first Merseyside Derby before being substituted off. Liverpool U21 sit in second place following tonights victory, two points behind Manchester Untied U21.

Yeşil joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen as did his teammate Emre Can. The young striker was born in Germany into a Turkish family as was Can.
Both players are part of the Turkish community in Germany estimated to be in the region of 3-4 million.
